352 Hectares of the High Orient
This is a spectacular 352-hectare (869.8-acre) lush property high in the orient of Ecuador with several springs, a river, forests, pastureland, and immense privacy!
About 110 hectares (271 acres) consist of green pastureland, with about half being flat and the rest usable. The remainder of the property boasts amazing old growth forests with trees like cedar.
There is a river that runs through the property that offers wonderful places to swim and would be a place to do hydro-electricity. More than 7 additional steams also exist, so you have many, many pure water sources. You can store the water in reservoirs for your personal use.
This is a very private property in the middle of nature which makes for an extremely peaceful atmosphere. You can even spot tropical birds and monkeys here, in addition to the beautiful green mountain views! Nearly anything can grow in this great climate with a year-round water source. Imagine fruit orchards and vegetable gardens galore! What a paradise this is indeed.
The climate in this area is in between the climate of the Sierra and Amazon, so almost like Vilcabamba’s climate because of its higher altitude. This means it does not have the same extent of humidity and heat as the orient. There are fewer creeping creatures in this area compared to the Amazon as well.
An old house is currently on the property, but it is not really habitable. However, you can build your own home nestled in this Amazonian land since the city of Zumba located an hour away for building materials and other supplies. Vilcabamba is about 3.5 hours away.
Zumba: located in the southern orient, Zumba offers the perfect mix of factors that make Ecuador such a special place. At 4000ft (1219m) above sea level, the climate is perfect – cool, but comfortable nights and warm but not too hot days. Not overly humid, very few bugs, no dry season, lots of sun and some of the most lush and beautiful greenery, nature, agriculture and wildlife you will find anywhere on the planet are just some of what makes Zumba special. Abundant, pure water, good, down to earth people, rich uncontaminated soil, and unheard of deals make Zumba my most highly recommend destination for your next investment or place to set up the lifestyle of your dreams.
