Tropical & Rural Mountain Property
About 30 minutes from Valladolid near a small rural neighborhood, Tapala, is this 22-hectare (54-acre) mountain property that has two springs, riverfront access, and lots of pastureland!
As this property consists of a mountain, it is quite mountainous and steeper. However, at the top of the property there is a nice flat section where you can build a house. Because this area is basically a large ridge, the views from your future house will be amazing! Just imagine waking up to views of mountains covered in green foliage every day! Currently, there are shelters for the cows up there, but you can easily remove those and start building your own home.
Another highlight is that there are two natural springs on this property! At the bottom border of the land there is also a river. It is about a 25-minute hike to reach the river. As you hike around the property you might even spot a wild monkey! With so much land, you can have fun exploring for hours.
The nearby forests and prospering plants on this property attract all kinds of exotic Amazonian birds like parrots. In fact, this property is only 2 kilometers from Podocarpus National Park where there is an abundance of protected forests. Enjoy their melodies and views of the vibrant surrounding mountains right from your patio.
It is about 20 minutes away from the little town of Valladolid out in the country. The road from Loja to Valladolid is fully paved (the Pan American Highway). This makes trips to Vilcabamba and Loja for staple goods and economical building supplies easier.
There is no dry season in Valladolid so it maintains its green vibrancy year-round. It is a pleasant climate for being in the orient as it is not too hot or too cold, just slightly humid which is conducive for growing all sorts of crops year-round. Valladolid is one of the closest tropical oases to Loja as the surrounding forests connect to national parks (like Podocarpus) and the Amazon Forest.
