The hotel, Aromas de Café, is named as such as one of its founders won second place in a national coffee competition.

As one of few hotels in the area, it offers an ideal location to host adventurers when they come to explore the area. They can stay the night at the hotel, go off early in the morning to explore, and then come back at night to rest. If guests don’t feel up to trekking in the mountains, they can take a coffee tour in the area. Quilanga is a hidden gem of southern Ecuador. It is known for its award-winning coffee grown on small farms in the nearby mountains. Some even say it is the best coffee in all of Ecuador! You will truly be immersed in southern Ecuadorian culture visiting this town. There is even a 19-kilometer hiking trail from Quilanga to Vilcabamba.
