Unique Earthship-Style Home in Gated Community

AL00-best logo for docs.png

This real estate property is an Earthship-style home that comes with a variety of unique features that cater to the preparedness and sustainability-minded buyer.

The home has an underground tunnel that runs the extent of the yard, with a hidden entry within the house and an escape hatch at one end. This can be used for cold storage and prepping. The property also features an underground fresh air cooling system, with tubes that run underground to provide cool, fresh air to the home.

There is 10,000 L of drinking water storage and 3200 L of water storage for plants and vegetation. A two-story workshop and water storage area includes upper floor water storage tanks, water filtration, and lower floor workshop or art studio equipped with 220 volts. The shutter-style windows on the upper floor offer views of the Mandingo and the valley.

Hydrants located around the property can be used for watering or in case of fire, with a gas pump that expels water at the rate of a fire hose. The property also includes a separate studio equipped with a bathroom and small kitchen area, which can also be used as a garage.

The electric and gas-powered pump house pumps water to the water storage via electric and gas pumps. The home features views of the valley, trees, and mountains, with a river running below that can be heard. There is also space on the property where footings have been constructed for an additional home.

All exterior walls of the property have wire mesh or a Faraday cage built in, preventing cell phone signals, Wi-Fi, and 5G from entering the home. The home's exterior walls use tires filled with concrete and rebar runs horizontally and vertically through the walls.

The property includes a seven and a half inch concrete roof, with an option for a self-contained master suite to be built on the roof. An outdoor kitchen and smokeless fire pit add to the property's sustainability features, along with glass windows on the main floor and the master that open up to bring the outdoor space to the indoors.

Plumbing is designed to flush toilet paper down the toilet, with separate drainage for gray water. A valve is located to direct gray water into the biodigester or to the plants on the lower property. Briggs toilets and sinks throughout, high-end imported faucets and hardware, separate water line for drinking water and potable water, and drinking water faucets located in each bathroom and two in the kitchen, are some additional features of the property.

Temperature-adjusted shower faucets automatically maintain water temperature regardless of pressure drops. The home also includes a built-in sound system, Cat6 internet cable wired to the kitchen and each bedroom, and a night lighting system with motion sensors to switch on small night lights to light your path after dark.
