Property Description

This property has an abundance of water, a waterfall, lovely nature and is near Podocarpus National Park. It is just under 2 hours walking distance to reach this property, which makes it ideal for an off-grid lifestyle. Another idea for this property is to make it into a tourist activity since it is on the route to one of Vilcabamba’s well-known waterfalls up near Podocarpus National Park. You could build more cabins for people to stay at while they are exploring the surrounding areas and create a hiking trail system within the property! This could be a very popular and successful project!

On this property, you will find plenty of water for your personal use that you can store in reservoir tanks. There are many beautiful waterfalls hidden on this property too! You can create a hiking trail to these waterfalls for easier access. Why not make other hiking trails throughout the rest of the land too?

The area is nearly inhabited, and as such, it is so peaceful and quiet. You might even see some animals from the national park because it is so tranquil here.

A huge bonus to this property is that there are already three houses built. The main house is livable and has a kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, running water, and a water heater, which is a luxury for a house like this up in the mountains. It is made from adobe and wood. The second house, which functions as a caretaker house, has similar characteristics and is about a 10-minute walk from the main house. There is also a small rustic cabin that is used for overnight stays. One thing to note is that there is no electricity hooked up on this property. You can install solar panels or explore other avenues for generating electricity.

At about 2400 meters (7870 feet) in elevation, the temperatures in this area are a bit colder than down in Vilcabamba. There is also more rainfall year-round, so you won’t have to worry about watering during Vilcabamba’s dry season.

There is another property that belongs to same owner and is for sale too. Both properties are right on the route to one of Vilcabamba’s well-known waterfalls up near Podocarpus You can view the listing: HERE.

Check out this neighboring 59-hectare property that is also for sale HERE if you would like an even larger off-grid spread.
